Lingo24 Hires Former SSI Exec for MR Development Role

Global translation company Lingo24 has appointed former Survey Sampling International (SSI) EU Operations Director Mark Slobbe as Director of Americas and a member of its Board, with a remit to build the firm's strategy for the market research industry across North America.

Mark SlobbeFounded in 2001, Lingo24 provides translation services to clients in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia, from its HQ in Edinburgh, and hubs in London, Romania, San Francisco, the Philippines and New Zealand.

Slobbe joins following a ten-year career in the market research industry, and has used Lingo24's translation services for the past eight years. Most recently, he spent five years at SSI in London and Madrid, where he was latterly responsible for the Client Services team, data processing and survey programming. During this time, while serving as a member of the EU Management team and Global Operations team, he managed around 50 employees based in seven countries.

Prior to SSI, Slobbe spent five years as Data Processing and Survey Programming Manager at Global Data Collection Company (GDCC) in the Netherlands.

In his new role, working alongside Lingo24 founder and MD Christian Arno and Operations Director Jack Waley-Cohen, he will liaise closely with the Americas team in Panama.

Slobbe will spend his first couple of months travelling between Lingo24's European and Panamanian offices, after which he will be based in the New York City metro area. He will be supported by Matt Jackson, Head of Foreign Language Internet Marketing (FLIM), who is based in Boston.
