Ketchum Hires Social Media Researcher

In the US, global PR agency Ketchum has appointed research veteran Don Bartholomew as Senior Vice President of Social Media Research, tasked with managing its Global Research Network's operations in the South and Midwest.

Don BartholomewOmnicom-owned Ketchum has operations in more than 70 countries across six continents. Bartholomew joins from Fleishman-Hillard's Washington, D.C. office, where as VP, Digital Research his responsibilities included social media monitoring, measurement and return-on-investment analysis. Prior to this, he was a Principal at Acumentics Research, and managed the Research & Measurement practice for MWW and the GCI Group. Earlier in his career, Bartholomew opened and managed the Dallas office of Alexander Communications (subsequently acquired by Ogilvy PR), and the Austin office of Cunningham Communications.

He is a member of the Institute for Public Relations' Commission on PR Measurement & Evaluation and the Council of Public Relations Firms' Social Media Task Force, and the creator of PR measurement blog MetricsMan.

In his new role, Batholomew will lead Ketchum's digital and social media research, measurement and analytics offerings, while working closely with the agency's specialty groups and complementary businesses, including Ketchum Digital, word-of-mouth-marketing agency Zocalo Group, and Access Communications, Ketchum's consumer and high-tech PR agency.
