Buy for French Reputation Specialist Augure

French PR and reputation management agency Augure has acquired Spanish online and social media monitoring specialist iMente. Exact terms were not disclosed, but Augure recently completed a 5 million Euro investment round to finance the deal.

Michael JaisGirona-based iMente provides monitoring of online news, blogs and social media to help clients listen to, analyze and share information on their and their competitors' brands. Augure will integrate iMente's listening capabilities into what it describes as the 'first cross-channel PR and reputation management platform'. Cloud-based, the solution promises to detect key influencers, build awareness, engage stakeholders and gain instant metrics of reputational impact across traditional, online, social and mobile channels.

Michael Jais, CEO of Augure (pictured), comments: 'The integration of iMente's technology into our products will really add deep intelligence for our clients at each step of the PR and reputation management workflow, from the stakeholders' detection to the analysis of campaigns' results. It's also a great opportunity for Augure to broaden its offer to the small and medium business market.'

iMente will continue to operate as a specialist brand for the online and social media monitoring market and CEO Quim Pagans says the acquisition will enable his firm to consolidate its position in Spain, and to expand in other new markets as France.
