Jamie Hall to Retire as TNS Global Chairman

TNS Global Chairman Jamie Hall is to retire next week, after nearly 30 years in the market research industry.

Jamie HallHall, who says he is 'incredibly excited about the new adventures ahead', founded Australia & New Zealand-based CM Research, which was sold to NFO, subsequently merged with TNS. He became TNS' Global Chairman in October 2010, prior to which he served as CEO of APMEA (Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa).

More recently, since TNS has become part of Kantar, Hall was responsible for the merger of Research International with TNS across 16 countries, and he represented the TNS Global Executive for the strategic development of Rapid Growth and Emerging Markets (R GEMS).

Commenting on his retirement, Hall said: 'I have had an amazing journey with many wonderful people. Although I have planned my retirement for the last three years I want to thank everyone who has made the last few months such a wonderful departure. I will always remember the farewells I received in Australia, Singapore and Paris and the messages of best wishes for the future.'

Hall will be replaced by former TNS CEO Pedro Ross, who has been with the firm since 1985.
