Ipsos Launches Middle Eastern Panel

Ipsos has launched its first online panel for the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia. The move coincides with the opening of Ipsos Interactive Services (IIS) MENA, led by Director Nader Kobeissi, in the region.

The new panel has been 18 months in the planning and will be called Rewarding Panel. All business will be conducted in Arabic and English. The company plans a further six Middle East and North Africa online panels in 2012 and has recruited 25,000 panellists so far. The firm says it aims to have similar panels in all the regions it operates in, to 'ensure equal data quality among the different countries.'

Edouard Monin, Ipsos' CEO for the MENA region, said: 'Internet in the Middle East has undoubtedly started to be significant and the client needs for online research there is growing. Online is increasingly the data collection method of choice amongst international research buyers, because it offers many advantages, and enables to go beyond the limits encountered by the other data collection modes.'

Ipsos claims over 4 million panelists in 43 countries, and says it already has online panels in all the major markets in Europe, North & Latin America and Asia Pacific.
