Field and Fab Expands CATI Unit

In the UK, Dipsticks Research's data collection arm Field and Fab has expanded its in-house CATI unit from 20 to 50 seats, in response to what it describes as increasing demand from its national and international client base.

Ivor KnoxNorthumberland-based Field and Fab offers a range of face-to-face and telephone services, as well as hall tests and eye tracking. In addition, the firm uses the group's consumer panel, panelbase.com, with more than 170,000 opted-in members participating in online, mobile, telephone and focus group research.

Field and Fab now employs 100 CATI staff, along with a network of more than 600 UK fieldworkers using advanced research techniques such as XDS electronic data collection, for face-to-face interviewing.

The business is led by MD Ivor Knox, a former CATI Centre Manager for NOP in North London, and a Regional Director of the Scottish client services team for Cello's mruk.

Commenting on the launch, Knox says: 'Despite the large volume of market research which has now moved online, we are experiencing significant and sustained growth in demand for traditional data collection methods, and anticipate offering interviewer-administered fieldwork for many years to come.'
