MSI Promotes Stone for CEO Role

US qual and quant agency Market Strategies International (MSI) has announced new responsibilities for its leadership team, including the promotion of Dr Rob Stone to the post of CEO, replacing co-founder Dr. Andrew Morrison who will continue as Chairman of the company.

Rob Stone and Andrew MorrisonFounded in 1989 by six partners with MR backgrounds, MSI now employs more than 270 senior-level market researchers, marketing scientists and project managers, as well as 1,300 interviewers.

Stone, who has worked in the market research industry for more than fifteen years, previously founded technology research consultancy Doxus, which was merged with MSI in 2007. Prior to his promotion, he led MSI's Financial Services and Technology teams.

George Wilkerson will now serve as the company's President, having previously led the Communications and Energy teams. Current President and COO Dr Reg Baker will retire from day-to-day management, but will continue to be involved in the company for the foreseeable future, but on a reduced schedule.

Morrison comments: 'Market Strategies is fortunate to have a deep pool of senior management talent that has worked together for several years. Our new leadership has participated in all management decisions since 2008 as part of the Executive Committee, and is fully prepared to assume new titles and responsibilities. They have written the 2012 business plan in concert with our next level of management in each unit, and the year is off to a solid start.'

Of Baker, Morrison says: 'Reg will continue to provide Market Strategies with his knowledge and expertise in traditional and non-traditional survey methods, and his participation in industry forums and conferences on new methodologies and current issues in our industry.'
