SPA Future Thinking Unveils 'Be-There' App

UK-based full service agency SPA Future Thinking has launched a downloadable app called Be-There that enables consumers to record their activities via their mobile phone using video, audio, pictures, text and barcodes in-situ, without the presence of a researcher.

Jon PriestThe firm says its new tool 'bridges the gap' between a consumer's actual habits and their reported behaviour.

Participants can use the app to share their behaviour and motivations 'on-the-go' in a range of multimedia formats, and then upload content directly onto the company's hosted online platform.

Once uploaded, the project team is able to interact with participants in real-time, while analysis allows content to be tagged, themed and distilled into insights and a summary multimedia output.

SPA Future Thinking says that it is already finding the app useful for analysing product and packaging functionality via in-home product trials, as well as shopper behaviour backed up by text comments and barcode scanning. Additionally, the app is being used for advertising and brand awareness studies and to record customer interactions in order to measure brand performance at all stages of the customer journey.

The tool has been developed by SPA Future Thinking's recently opened in-house product development and brand insight think tank, Quantum Lab.

CEO Jon Priest comments: 'Be-There enables us to get closer to the consumer, and the insights we gain from this methodology, provide our clients with a unique and enlightening view of their consumers' lives.'
