Ipsos Hires Global Talent Partner

Ipsos has announced the appointment of Synovate veteran Jenny Broughton as a Global Talent Management Partner, and separately has given more details of the structure of its new InnoQuest Practice.

Jenny BroughtonBroughton is a qualified MBTI practitioner and coach who began her career on Graduate Programme at Isis Research / Synovate Healthcare. She moved to China with the company after two years in London, and spent a further two years there before leaving to work for the China-Britain Business Council, leading their Consultancy and Research Services department and helping British companies expand their businesses in China.

She returned to Synovate and to London in 2008 to a role in Learning and Development, and ran/developed programmes for Graduate Trainees, management and leadership skills, and commercial development for Key Account Directors. A year ago, she returned to China to establish the L&D function for the Greater China region.

In her new role, Broughton will be based in London and will be responsible for programmes to identify and retain talent for Ipsos across the globe.

Mike Everett, Global Head of People and Talent, says of the appointment: 'I'm delighted to welcome Jenny to our team. She will build on our successful track-record in talent management and retention and will help bring more global consistency to our talent management programmes. She has a unique combination of research and HR skills which makes her ideally suited to the role.'

Ipsos announced the launch of InnoQuest last week as part of the restructuring of its Ipsos Marketing unit. The division's Global CEO Lauren Demar says the new entity will help clients 'launch bigger innovations faster, and demonstrate a real ROI', bringing together Ipsos' and Synovate's innovation and modeling expertise to address 'the full spectrum of challenges... from identifying insights at the fuzzy front end, through mix optimization, to product launch and beyond.' She adds: 'Unique to our offer is our ability to provide financial metrics at all stages - even very early in the process - and clear direction for maximization of initiative potential.'

Among the new unit's offerings will be:
  • InnoScreen - a set of solutions for evaluating and optimizing insights, ideas and concepts.
  • MarketQuest - a suite of product research and development tools for the whole product lifecycle, supported by what Ipsos claims is 'the world's largest product testing database'.
  • Designor - a CPG sales forecasting model and scenario simulator, and
  • Vantis - a set of non-CPG solutions covering concept development, optimization, forecasting and post-launch assessment, with validated models customized by sector.
