Simon Godfrey Steps Down at BrainJuicer

In the UK, leading edge research firm BrainJuicer has announced that Simon Godfrey intends to retire from the company's board of directors at the end of September this year. He will be replaced by Graham Blashill, who joins from a career with Imperial Tobacco.

Simon GodfreyGodfrey has spent most of his career in marketing and market research. He founded Simon Godfrey Associates (SGA) in 1985, and sold it to Research International in 2001, since when he has divided his time between consultancy, education and other activities - he studied Military History, gaining a PhD in 2009, and has written a book on British Army Communications in the Second World War. As well as a non-executive director he served as a technical advisor to BrainJuicer.

Blashill joined W.D.& H.O. Wills (a division of Imperial Tobacco) in 1968 and held a number of posts before becoming Managing Director of Imperial Tobacco UK in 1995. He went on to become Regional Director of Western Europe and was appointed Group Sales and Marketing Director in 2005. He retired in 2011.
