Mobile Posse Raises $5m
US-based Mobile Posse - which provides mobile marketing, CRM and research solutions for the 'home screen' of mobile phones - has closed a $5m Series C funding round.
 Founded in 2005, the McLean, VA-based company offers a platform through which wireless carriers and advertisers can engage consumers with graphical interactive messages and surveys via the home screen of mobile phones.
Its screen surveys and custom polls have been developed to allow advertisers to engage with opt-in consumers, while also gaining insights through consumer behavior or demographics data.
New investor Harbert Venture Partners led the recent round, which also included Softbank Capital, Court Square Ventures, Columbia Capital and individuals.
CEO Jon Jackson (pictured) comments: 'Every day, we are engaging a growing number of consumers with CRM messaging, advertising and content delivered directly to the home screen. The home screen delivers proven engagement and we are thrilled that investors agree.'
