Funds for Web Performance Tracker Apica

Web technology provider Apica has raised $5m in Series C financing, for use in product development, marketing support and global expandsion of its cloud and mobile testing and monitoring services.

Apica was founded in 2005 and is based in Stockholm, Sweden and Palo Alto, California, with a sales office in the UK.

Its WebPerformance tool verifies web apps from the end user perspective, and analyses the effect of increased visitor numbers on response times. In addition, the solution can be used to compare competitors' sites, and can be integrated with Google Analytics for additional insight.

The latest funding has been led by SEB Venture Capital, with support from existing Swedish investors Industrifonden, ALMI Invest, and KTH Chalmers Capital.

CEO Sven Hammar (pictured) comments: 'This funding will enable us to further enhance our solutions for optimizing application performance and capture a greater share of this profitable cloud services market in the US.'
