Williams Leaves Ministry for Nuffield Foundation

UK charitable trust The Nuffield Foundation has appointed Ministry of Justice Chief Researcher Teresa Williams as Director of Social Research and Policy. She takes up her new position on 29th October.

Teresa WilliamsEstablished in 1943, The Nuffield Foundation funds research and innovation in education and social policy.

Williams has worked in senior research roles at the Home Office, the Government Social Research Unit, and the former Department of Social Security. She began her career at the National Centre for Social Research, and currently serves as Head of Access to Justice Analytical Services and Chief Researcher at the Ministry of Justice.

Nuffield Director Sharon Witherspoon comments: 'Teresa brings a wealth of experience in commissioning research for policy-makers, and in research design. She has clear ideas about the future development of our work in social research and social policy, and will bring a fresh and thoughtful perspective to what we do and how we do it.'
