Data Collection Firm Cido Opens in Shanghai

Global data collection specialist Cido has opened a new operation in Shanghai, where it has appointed former Nielsen exec Linda Ho as General Manager.

Cido was formed in 2009 through the merger of research agencies Acrobat Research, EuroInterview and Cimigo, which last year also opened an office in Shanghai. The business offers its market research industry clients a range of services including telephone and face-to-face interviewing, online research, qualitative research and in-house data processing from its operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Ho joins the new office with more than 25 years' experience in HR and operations management, gained in both market research and multi-national companies throughout greater China. Most recently, she oversaw HR management and business planning at STL Technology, prior to which, she was General Manager of Cimigo Hong Kong, having previously worked there as Director of Operations. Earlier, she worked at Nielsen as both Director of Human Resources for China and Director of Operations for Hong Kong.

She is supported by Sharon Wong, who joins as Projects Director, China, reporting to Cido Director of Project Management Vicki Shum. Wong has more than 15 years' experience of conducting quant and qual research, having previously worked at Cimigo and Cido Hong Kong.
