Merlien Names MD for Europe and North America

The Merlien Institute - which runs conferences and events for market research professionals - has appointed Jens Cornelissen as Managing Director Europe and North America.

Founded in 2008, the company offers global and regional conference events such as Policy Research World, Market Research in the Mobile World, Qualitative 360, and Insights Valley corporate researchers summits. From next year, it is planning to broaden its portfolio with the addition of small and large scale events, exhibitions and webinars, along with a video publication channel.

Cornelissen (pictured) joins from Questex Media Group, where he served as Events Director for the past three years. Prior to this, he ran his own communications and events firm Cormedia, was Divisional Director at IQPC Worldwide, and Conference Director with the European Networking Group. He began his career as a Researcher with ICT analyst Van Dusseldorp & Partners.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Jasper Lim said: 'Jens' strong network with senior executives from Fortune 500 companies will be an asset to the marketing research industry. He will be supporting our partners and sponsors in developing impactful events in Europe and North America.'
