Aegis Buys for iProspect Again
UK-based Aegis Group plc has announced the acquisition of Benelux-based performance marketing agency Netsociety, and will merge it into its existing search and performance marketing division, iProspect. Terms were not disclosed.
 Netsociety was founded in 2007 and has offices in Amsterdam and Brussels. Focused on search marketing and digital performance media, it also offers web analytics and social media strategy consulting, and takes an insight-based approach to marketing strategy.
Aegis Media says Netsociety's expertise and client base strengthens its market position and gives it advantages of scale in the Netherlands and Belgium. iProspect, which helps clients maximize their online marketing ROI through research, SEO, display media, attribution modelling and other service, was boosted 3 weeks ago by Aegis' purchase of Japanese performance marketing and search agency Hablar, and by the acquisition I Spy Marketing in August.
Julius Minnaar, CEO of Aegis Media Netherlands, says the buy will enhance the company's prospects in the Dutch and Belgian markets, while Netsociety Chief Exec Maurice Pothof comments: 'We recognize the same ambition as iProspect - to apply data and technology and create smart campaigns for customers in digital marketing. We are excited to be joining the Aegis Media network and we are confident this agreement will be the catalyst to extend our digital media capabilities both nationally and internationally.'
Aegis also includes Aztec, a scan-based market and consumer insights company.
