Public Launch for Tumblr Analytics Service

San Francisco-based Union Metrics has announced that its Tumblr analytics platform is out of beta and available for subscription.

Microblogging platform Tumblr announced it was taking ads for the first time in May this year. The firms say the Union Metrics product is the first allowing marketers to measure the impact of their campaigns based on the full 'firehose' of data from Tumblr, which receives around 70m new posts each day. More than 150 firms have been involved in the beta testing of Union Metrics' product

The product includes extensive filtering capabilities to track any blog or topic; summary analytics showing overall engagement levels and trends over time; tracking of the most influential posters and most popular content; and mapping of the spread of individual posts through the Tumblr network.

Rick Webb, Marketing and Revenue at Tumblr, says his company has been 'blown away by the response to the Union Metrics product' and 'continues to be psyched to endorse and recommend them as our preferred analytics provider.' Union Metrics CEO Hayes Davis comments: 'The first month of customer activity on the Union Metrics for Tumblr product has been a terrific validation of the need by companies to measure their Tumblr activity and better understand how to participate in the amazingly creative - and massive - network that is Tumblr.'

Union Metrics, whose flagship product TweetReach has been providing Twitter analytics since 2009, has recently opened an office in Austin, Texas and is online at www.unionmetrics.com .
