Influitive Secures $7.3m for Advocate Service

Toronto and San Francisco-based Influitive has raised $7.3m in Series A funding, which it will use to accelerate development of its AdvocateHub community platform, and expand its marketing, sales and service teams.

cash 'flu' for social media firmThrough the AdvocateHub, marketers can drive endorsements from their customers, followers and 'evangelists' from social media reviews, customer referrals, case studies and references. In exchange for their views, customers can earn points that can be used for a variety of perks and privileges.

The firm was launched in August with a $3.75m round of seed funding. Its latest cash injection comes from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates and Common Angels, along with Illuminate Ventures, Resolute.VC, and several other angels and firms.
