HY Connect Provides Home for lonelybrand

In the US, marcoms agency HY Connect has acquired data-driven digital marketing specialist lonelybrand, and will add the latter's full service offering and social media analytics to its own portfolio. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Troy PetersonChicago-based lonelybrand helps clients increase brand awareness, connect with customers and stakeholders, and increase digital revenue. Its solutions include programs for social media engagement, building digital content, CRM and mobile platforms. Additionally, the firm monitors campaign visitors, referrals on social networks, and tracks each visitor through the path to conversion.

Through the acquisition, HY Connect plans to ramp up its social media and content marketing services. Nicholas Kinports, lonelybrand's founder, will join HY Connect as VP, Director of Social Media, and will be joined by the rest of his team.

Troy Peterson (pictured), HY Connect CEO, comments: 'As we became more and more familiar with lonelybrand, not only for their outstanding services, but for their ability to use their strong digital presence to garner business, we saw great potential in bringing them aboard to augment our already robust social media offering. Ironically, considering our future social media partnership, we initially contacted Nick through LinkedIn.'
