Mobile Analytics Firm Zettics Expands

US-based mobile big data analytics firm Zettics has opened new offices in London and Singapore, where it has appointed Ken Parkinson and Paul Ash to lead sales in EMEA and APAC respectively.

Ken Parkinson and Paul AshFounded in 2008 by wireless industry veterans Sterling Wilson and Asa Kalavade, Zettics provides a solution which processes trillions of transactions from mobile phones per month, and enables mobile operators to understand how mobile data services are being consumed. Operators use this solution to analyze pricing plans based on actual usage, enhance advertising offers, reduce churn, and forecast service usage growth.

Commenting on the expansion, Wilson said: 'The explosive growth of data services in Europe and Asia has driven an increased demand for big data mobile analytics. We are excited to open offices in London and Singapore to support customers and accelerate growth in the regions. Ken and Paul bring deep industry expertise, and exceptional regional business development experience.'

Parkinson joins with more than 20 years' experience in telecoms consulting, services, and platform sales. Most recently, he held senior positions at Accenture, prior to which, he worked at Mformation and Qpass. In his new role, Parkinson will be responsible for managing key operator accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and growing Zettics' customer base across the EMEA region.

Prior to joining, Ash held regional sales positions across IBM's big data portfolio of services in Asia. He was previously General Manager of Netezza, and he held senior roles at NexTone Communications, ITXC (Teleglobe), and Netway (Telecom NZ). At Zettics, he will focus on driving company sales and business development strategies in the AsiaPac area.
