Blueocean Hires VPs and Opens New US Offices

Consumer research and analytics firm Blueocean Market Intelligence has expanded its North American team with the appointment of three industry veterans as Vice Presidents - Client Development, while also opening offices in Chicago, Dallas and Cincinnati.

Blueocean is part of the Cross-Tab group of companies and focuses on market intelligence, social media and data analytics from its existing offices in Phoenix, Seattle and Bangalore, India.

Ellen Guggenheim, who is based in Chicago, joins from social intelligence specialist Listenlogic, where she served as VP of Business Development. Prior to this she held senior business development roles at influencer marketing platform SheSpeaks, and at NeuroFocus, Nielsen Online/BuzzMetrics and Jupiter Media Metrix.

Phil Horan also joins the Chicago team, having previously served as Director of Sales at ID Analytics, and held senior financial services sales roles at Strategic Analytics, Inmatrix and Fair Isaac. Earlier, he was an account executive at Interface Software and Mercantec.

Dallas-based LeeAnn Hickey has worked for the last four years as an independent marcoms consultant, prior to which she was VP, Business Development at neuromarketing firm EmSense, Group Account Director at marketing agency Targetbase, and MD at brand strategy specialist Sagon-Phior. Earlier, she held senior roles at Acxiom, Sprint, Ogilvy & Mather, Harte-Hanks, RAPP and Tandem Computers.

Blueocean says the hires support the increased demand for the company's data analytics and social intelligence offerings.
