adhesive Raises $1.5m to Launch Retargeting Co-Op

Behavioral retargeting start-up adhesive has raised $1.5m in a round of funding which it will use to support the roll out of its 'private data co-operative'.

Chad LittleThrough the co-operative, advertisers can share their first-party audience data and build targeted campaigns for prospecting new customers. Participants in the co-op can purchase retargeting campaigns in order to reach consumers who are actively searching for products or services, but haven't yet visited their site. adhesive has been developing the co-op since early 2013 and currently boasts a database of more than five million consumers who are actively shopping.

The round of funding has been led by the company's founder and CEO Chad Little (pictured), and a syndicate of angel investors that backed his previous company, FetchBack.com.

Little comments: 'I'm excited about our completing this round and even more excited about having the opportunity to discuss our strategy. Retargeting has largely become commoditized and it's time the price reflects that. Our co-op provides the perfect combination of ensuring you close the sale with consumers that have visited your site and the ability to drive incremental conversions'.
