dunnhumby Plans Relocation to London W6

In the UK, retail data specialist dunnhumby is planning to relocate 1,000 staff from its two Ealing offices to a newly refurbished, 115,000 sq ft building in Hammersmith, in 2016.

The firm, founded in 1989 by husband and wife team Edwina Dunn and Clive Humby, is best known for creating the Tesco Clubcard. Through its operations in Europe, Asia and the Americas, it now analyses data from more than 400 million customers globally.

dunnhumby has signed a fifteen year lease to relocate to the former Access Self Storage site in Shepherds Bush Road. The Grade II listed building, which was built in 1916, was previously well known as the site of a Ford and Citroen garage and showroom.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council has granted planning consent for a redesign which includes adding three storeys and a curved 'diagrid' glazed roof.

Mark Powell, dunnhumby's Global Property Director, comments: 'Working with an architect and developer we were able to design a space in this unique building which perfectly suits our occupational requirements and is very similar to the offices we are refurbishing in Cincinnati. Hammersmith is also an excellent location and ensures good accessibility for our staff, suppliers and customers.'
