Ipsos Kicks Off 'Patient Journey' Studies

Ipsos Healthcare has launched a range of 'syndicated patient journey studies', giving a holistic view of the end-to-end patient experience including the whole buying process. The first to launch is 'OncoJourney'.

Dr Karen HigginbottomIpsos says the studies combine its quantitative syndicated Global Therapy Monitor data with qualitative multi-stakeholder research, and are 'the industry's first syndicated, multi-stakeholder approach to understanding the end-to-end buying process'. In addition to covering the 'journey' from symptoms through to treatment, the studies examine different stakeholders' roles in diagnosis and treatment decisions. Deliverables can be tailored according to client needs and budgets.

Dr Karen Higginbottom, Ipsos Healthcare's Associate Vice-President - Global Oncology, says the new studies integrate existing syndicated data sources to 'deliver a whole new dimension of insight and understanding'. She adds: 'This allows research budgets to stretch further without losing the quality, depth and knowledge provided by traditional patient journey / buying process work.'

The division operates in more than 40 countries and provides global syndicated patient chart studies in 35 markets. Its Global Therapy Monitors track usage of treatments across more than twenty disease areas, including Metabolics, Oncology, Virology, Autoimmune and Cardiovascular.
