Research Now Launches Diabetes Panel

Research Now has launched its first 'condition-based' panel, to provide access to 336,000 people in the US and Canada who have been diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or obesity.

Vincent DeRobertisThe new Diabetes Panel also includes hard-to-reach physicians, nurses, pharmacists, hospital executives and administrators. To accompany the launch, the Global Healthcare research team conducted two parallel studies - one in the US and one in Canada - pre-screening over 2,000 US and Canadian respondents on the subject, with approximately three-quarters reporting that they, or someone they know, have diabetes.

SVP of Global Healthcare Vincent DeRobertis (pictured), who was promoted earlier in the year to manage this team, comments: 'Due to high client demand, our Diabetes Panel is the first in a series of condition-based panels that we will be rolling out over the next twelve months. Our goal for this series is to be able to approach each condition uniquely, and focus on holistic solutions that will provide a deeper knowledge base of the condition.'

To assist with multi-country research projects, Research Now also maintains an Ailments Panel which includes diabetes sufferers in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain, and it plans to launch the Diabetes Panel in three additional markets by the end of 2013.
