Tribune Broadcast Hires Falvo as Research Lead

In Chicago, TV research veteran Toni Falvo is to join Tribune Broadcast as Senior Vice President of Research, in charge of all research functions across the broadcaster's 23 television stations.

Tribune's businesses also include news and information web sites. Falvo (pictured) joins on December 9th, after fifteen years at NBC-owned WMAQ-Channel 5, where she began her employment as Research Director, and latterly served as President of Research, Programming and Press. Prior to this she worked at ABC-owned WLS-Channel 7 in a variety of finance and research roles, eventually becoming the station's Research Director.

In her new role, Falvo reports to President of Broadcast Media Larry Wert, who she previously worked alongside when he was President and General Manager of NBC 5. Commenting on the appointment, Wert said: 'As Tribune's growing portfolio of assets provides us with a variety of new opportunities to better analyze and understand the audiences watching our stations, I am confident Toni has the talent, experience and drive required to make a significant impact on our goals.'
