More Cash Boosts Rapid Growth for Monetate
US-based web personalisation software provider Monetate has added $8 million to its funding, bringing its total to date to $43m, and says revenues have doubled and staff numbers expanded to 200 over the past year.
The growth includes the company's London office, serving Northern and Central Europe. New funding comes in a series C round from previous investors OpenView Venture Partners, Common Fund and Lead Edge Capital. The firm's Acceleration Cloud software uses JavaScript tags to track customer preferences through their browsing, and through email data and search engine information, and uses it to optimise web content for them. Pitched at larger enterprise customers, Monetate competes with the likes of Adobe, WebTrends and SiteSpect.
Staff numbers have grown from around thirty just three years ago. Most recently, the firm launched a micro-segmentation service called LiveAudience, powered by the audience data and data management platforms of BlueKai.
