Northern Light Shines on IT Analyst Social Media Posts
US-based research portal provider Northern Light has launched a new tool that offers a single point of access to 1.5 million social media posts created by analysts working at more than 200 IT firms such as Forrester and IDC.
The new 'Listen from Northern Light' tool tracks IT analysts' blogs and tweets via a single portal, to enable users to research their opinions about companies, technologies and industry developments. In addition, the portal contains Northern Light business news, with around 40,000 news articles per day from 5,000 sources, a collection of IT industry white papers, and a calendar of IT analyst events.
Researchers can click through from search results to see a full posting on the web site of the originating analyst firm or publisher. The portal also contains Northern Light's MI Analyst text analytics tool, which automatically analyzes documents found in search results using IT industry-specific concepts and concept categories.
CEO C. David Seuss (pictured) comments: 'Because industry analysts are such influential thought and opinion leaders in the IT sector, it is critical that companies with a vested interest in IT markets, products and trends have a means to quickly discern analysts' publicly-available views on a wide range of topics. Our new portal integrates analysts' insights with other web-based news and industry content to create a single, complete, and very affordable research tool.'
