Colombian Office for Effective
London-based online, mobile and social media specialist Effective Research has expanded to Latin America with the opening of an office in Bogotá, Colombia.
 Effective, which was founded in 2008 by former Research Now exec Alan Hargreaves and investor Laura Vargas, also has an office in Madrid. The firm supports both full service and sample-only online and mobile research project requirements, and its online panel network reaches more than eight million respondents in more than 45 countries in both developed and emerging markets.
The new office is led by Alex Gomez (pictured), who has been with the company since its launch, prior to which he worked at global management consultancy McKinsey & Co.
CEO and co-founder Alan Hargreaves says launching in Colombia will enable the company to better cater to the needs of its clients across the region. 'We believe there is huge potential for growth in the LatAm region, where we have secured a series of lucrative contracts. This expansion now requires a physical presence in the market,' Hargreaves adds.
