TNS Hires Leathwood to Lead Sydney Team

TNS Australia has appointed former Colmar Brunton Joint MD Alistair Leathwood as Executive Director in charge of its Sydney team. He replaces Jonathan Sinton, who has transferred to TNS in New York to become Digital Director of Global Accounts.

Leathwood (pictured) moved to Australia in 2011 to take up the role of Joint MD at Colmar Brunton. Prior to this he was a Board Director at FreshMinds, where he managed the research team, and held overall responsibility for sales, marketing, delivery, product development and innovation, finance and HR. Earlier, he served as Deputy MD of Datamonitor's Technology Practice.

In his new role, Leathwood is responsible for leading TNS in Sydney across all forms of research consulting and business development for qualitative and quantitative research.

Sinton, who he replaces, has transferred to the US after nearly five years at TNS, and more than seven years previously at Research International. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Research Consultant at Frank N. Magid Associates.
