Education Analytics Firm BrightBytes Raises $15m

San Francisco-based educational analytics firm BrightBytes has raised $15m in a Series B round of investment, earmarked for global expansion.

BrightBytes' online analytics platform uses ideas from experts worldwide to create evidence-based frameworks, which can be combined with school or regional data to understand and improve student learning outcomes.

New funding has been led by Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) with participation from existing investors including Rethink Education and Learn Capital. Previous funders include NewSchools Venture Fund.
