Socialbakers Names CFO
Social media monitoring and analytics firm Socialbakers has appointed Mike Ainslie as Chief Financial Officer.
 Launched in 2009, Socialbakers offers benchmarking and impact analysis for clients' marketing campaigns across all major social networks. In the past year, the firm has doubled its headcount from 150 to 300, with plans to expand to more than 400 in 2014, and it has opened offices in New York, Singapore, Paris and Munich.
In February, the firm completed a $26m Series C financing round, for investment in new product development initiatives, and to strength client support, sales and marketing in the US and other markets around the world. The funding valued the business at close to $200m.
Ainslie (pictured) joins with 26 years' experience. Most recently, he was CEO/CFO at PE Investment, prior to which he spent four years at COO at risk intelligence specialist World-Check. Earlier, he was President and MD of Nationwide, European COO at Bank One, and held senior roles at First National Bank of Chicago. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Young.
