George Terhanian Leaves Toluna to Join NPD

George Terhanian has left Toluna to join consumer specialist The NPD Group in the newly created role of Group President and Chief Research and Analytics Officer.

Terhanian (pictured) joined online community and survey technology provider Toluna as Global Chief Strategy Officer in 2010, and has since served as the firm's Chief Strategy & Products Officer and President, North America. Earlier, he spent nearly fourteen years at Harris Interactive in a number of leadership roles including President, Global Solutions; President, Global Internet Research; and President, Harris Interactive Europe. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) and the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO).

In his new role, he is based in Port Washington, and is responsible for the firm's global research sciences, panel management and analytics and modeling functions, reporting to Randy Smith, Group President, Product Management & Development.
