More Funding for Three Analytics Firms

Big data analytics tool provider Rhiza, Israeli predictive analytics company Rewardpod and Denver-based 'social intelligence company' Wayin have all announced new investments, ranging from $1m to $12.1m.

Rhiza has closed $3m in Series A funding led by Pittsburgh-based Draper Triangle Ventures, with participation from Arthur Ventures, and Camp One Ventures; and will look to grow its sales, marketing, and customer service teams. Rhiza's tools help clients develop marketing plans, make multi-channel media buys and create 'visually compelling', data-driven marketing and sales materials. CEO Josh Knauer says the money will enable the firm to better serve current clients, reach new audiences and refine its tools for visualizing, analyzing and sharing data.

Rewardpod, which has raised $1m from Israeli entrepreneurs and angel investors, scores app users in real time according to their likelihood to spend, helping app developers with customer acquisition and monetisation. The company was founded in 2013 by CEO Ze'ev Rozov and CTO Ehud Zaguri, and also has a London office.

Wayin is the brainchild of Sun Microsystems cofounder and former CEO Scott McNealy, and offers tools to help companies launch, run and track their social media marketing. The third round funding, comprising $12.1m from undisclosed sources, takes the firm's total to date to $32.5m. Wayin has US offices in NYC, San Francisco, Atlanta and Palo Alto, CA; and an international presence in Argentina, Brazil, Japan and Hong Kong.
