GfK Appoints Carter for MOI Quant Leadership

GfK has appointed John Carter to lead the Quantitative Research arm of its Market Opportunities and Innovation (MOI) team in North America.

John CarterMOI promises clients foresight to tap into future markets, while examining the cultural perspective in each potential investment. Carter (pictured) joins as Executive Vice President, Consulting, from Ipsos, where he worked for more than nine years, most recently as EVP of the company's MarketQuest division. Prior to this he was VP at A&G Research, and spent eighteen years at Unilever Best Foods in a number of MR leadership positions in the US, Hong Kong, and Singapore. He began his career at Maritz Marketing Research.

In addition to guiding the MOI quant research practice, Carter will support product development for the consumer, financial services, technology, retail and automotive sectors. In addition, he will lead a team of 'future-focused' managers, specializing in helping clients use market research, innovation and strategy to grow their businesses.
