Ipsos' Jean-Marc Lech Takes Convalescence Break

Ipsos Co-Chairman Jean-Marc Lech has temporarily stepped down from his role following what has been described by the company as a 'serious health issue'.

Jean-Marc LechIpsos was founded in Paris in 1975 by economist Didier Truchot, who was joined by Lech (pictured) as Co-Chairman in 1982. The pair had previously worked together at IFOP (L'Institute Français d'Opinion Publique), where Lech latterly served as President and CEO.

At the end of 2000, Truchot and Lech took a step back from running Ipsos on a day-to-day basis, but remained active in the company as Co-Chairmen of the Board.

In a statement, Ipsos said that Lech is temporarily giving up his operational activities to focus on the 'care necessary for his health until his full recovery'. During this period, Truchot will oversee those activities and teams that report to Lech.
