Former Asda Customer Insights Manager Joins Manheim

Former Asda Customer Insights Manager Matthew Hanson has joined automobile auction giant Manheim in Leeds, as Head of Marketing Projects and Planning.

Matthew HansonManheim, which was established in 1945 as a wholesale vehicle auction operation, specialises in bringing together sellers and buyers of used vehicles. The firm now has 20,000 employees in 106 locations around the globe.

Hanson (pictured) joins from retail giant Asda, where he initially served as Customer Insight Manager, running marketing and customer intelligence projects, setting up perception trackers, monitoring media effectiveness, and developing benchmarks for ad measurement. More recently, he was Head of Advertising, in charge of the Printed Advertising team of ten. Before joining the company, he spent five years agency-side at Quaestor Research as an SRE, using both qual and quant techniques for clients in a wide range of sectors.

In his new role, Hanson will focus on exploring customer insight to ensure products and services are aligned with customer requirements. He will also be identifying opportunities for development, both in terms of remarketing and retail.
