Recruitment Drive and BI Partnership for Infosys

Consulting, technology and services firm Infosys has announced it will recruit around 1,500 professionals in the current financial year, and a further 600 graduates over twelve months. The company has also announced a BI partnership with analytics firm Tableau Software.

Infosys says the recruitment drive will bolster its expertise in client relationship management, consulting and technical delivery. The hiring will include close to 600 Bachelors and Masters graduates, including up to 300 management and technology graduates and 100 Masters graduates, from leading US universities.

Sandeep Dadlani, EVP, Head of Infosys Americas, said of the drive: 'We are particularly looking forward to bringing a large group of graduates into Infosys in the US. This is a terrific time for young, smart and talented leaders to be graduating from the best American schools and choosing a career in the technology industry.'

Separately, Infosys will partner with Tableau to help exploit opportunities in the burgeoning field of big data - matching Tableau's analytics technology and Infosys' skills base and client reach. Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka comments: 'We have seen substantial interest from our clients in Tableau as a great way to bring the power of visualization and business intelligence to end-users. We will bring our scale and expertise in mission critical enterprise software solutions, big data and in education and training, together with the power of Tableau analytics and visualization to help enterprises rethink business intelligence.'

The company has US$8.25 bn in annual revenues and more than 165,000 employees and is online at www.infosys.com .
