Kadence Sold to Japan's Cross Marketing Group

UK-based Kadence International has today been sold to full service Japanese MR group CMG (Cross Marketing Group) for an undisclosed sum.

Simon Everard and Miki IgarashiFounded in 1992 by current Chairman Simon Everard, Kadence International has offices in the US, UK, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China, the UAE and Vietnam. The company has enjoyed strong growth throughout the years of the financial crisis, moving from turnover of around $4m in 2005, to $17.5m in 2010-11, and $27m in 2012-13.

Kadence will retain its brand and management structure but will now operate as part of CMG, which has a presence in Japan, Singapore, China, the US and India. CMG says the acquisition will help each organization to expand its offerings to the other's global client base, while Everard says the deal will help CMG's Japanese clients, as well as giving Kadence clients access to the group's online research, IT and technical expertise.

CMG CEO Miki Igarashi states: 'Acquiring Kadence is a bold and strategic move for our organization, and will inject another 350 employees into the group, bringing our overall headcount to over 1,000 employees worldwide. It will, we believe, result in improved services for our clients by giving us access to Kadence's wealth of skill, insight and experience.'

Other companies in the CMG network include UX consulting specialist Uncover Truth, physician insights provider MedePanel Online, shopper marketing consultancy UTIL, shopper behavior company Envirosell Japan, Asia-focused online panel company Union Panels, and market intelligence provider Markelytics Solutions India.
