Millward Brown Vermeer Names Australia / NZ Director

Recently formed market strategy division Millward Brown Vermeer has appointed former London2012 consultant Patrick Fry as Director, responsible for leading the firm's engagements in Australia and New Zealand.

Patrick FryThe Australian office was established earlier this year, two months after the WPP-owned ad, media and brand research specialist acquired marketing consultancy EffectiveBrands, which was then merged with MB's Optimor strategy consulting division.

Fry (pictured) joins with more than fifteen years' experience of advising senior management of large multinational organisations. Most recently, he served as Engagement Manager of business collaboration consultancy10EQS, where he spent five years working with London2012 in a number of senior roles. He also worked for the Beijing Olympic Committee during the 2008 Olympic and Paralympics Games, and as Sport Business Manager, and he implemented an IT project that will be used by future Olympic organising committees, including Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. Prior to this, Fry worked for Australian brewing company Lion Co, Braxton Associates (Deloitte), and Ernst & Young, and founded his own consultancy Extreme Event Management.
