DRG Names Consulting Leader

US-based pharma researcher Decision Resources Group (DRG) has appointed Mark Luck Olson as President, Global Consulting Services.

Mark Luck OlsonDRG, which was acquired by pharma product manufacturer Piramal Healthcare in 2012, provides web-enabled research and predictive analytics, proprietary databases and consulting services to the global healthcare industry.

Olson (pictured) joins with a 25 year healthcare industry background, with a focus on accelerating market performance and improving the cost and quality of care. Most recently, he co-founded healthcare strategy consultancy ChapterHouse, which was later acquired by management consultancy Oliver Wyman, where Olson continued as Managing Partner of the firm's Health & Life Sciences practice. Earlier, he spent eight years at Baxter Healthcare, primarily based in Europe and the Far East.

In his new role, Olson is responsible for leading DRG's global portfolio of consulting and professional services businesses, as part of the firm's market insight and advisory services offerings to healthcare companies.
