Wipro, Software AG Launch IoT Analysis Tool

German tech firm Software AG and India-based services giant Wipro have joined forces to develop a platform for streaming analytics providing real-time intelligence for the Internet of Things (IoT) market.

The partners say the tool, dubbed 'Wipro Looking Glass', taps into Software AG's Big Data Streaming Analytics product suite and will allow clients to respond to events in real-time 'with unlimited scalability', while being 'fast and easy' to set up.

The solution includes a real-time analytics engine, in-memory database technology and a real-time user interface; and can be run in-house or hosted in the cloud.

John Bates (pictured), Software AG's Global Head of Industry Solutions and CMO, says the partnership combines 'Wipro's dedicated Software AG product practice, support services and a sharp industry focus with Software AG's industry leading Streaming Analytics product suite'. Wipro's VP and Global Head IoT Alan Atkins comments: 'Wipro offers end-to-end services for IoT, enabled through business and technology frameworks to address the business challenges of the customers. Analytics and Visualization form important elements of this value proposition and the partnership with Software AG compliments the other offerings in the framework that we enable for the customers.'

Darmstadt-based Software AG has more than 4,600 employees in 70 countries and had revenues of EUR 973m in 2013, while Wipro has a workforce of over 150,000 and posted revenues of$7.3bn for the financial year ended March 31st 2014.
