Gap Appoints Customer Experience Lead

Fashion retailer Gap has appointed company veteran Scott Key as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Customer Experience, in charge of the newly combined eCommerce and Marketing teams.

Gap Hires...Key joined the company in 1990 and has worked there since, although two years from 2011-13 were spent at the group's sports clothing specialist Athleta. He re-joined the parent firm to oversee its Customer Engagement Marketing team, with responsibilities that spanned marketing strategy, customer insights, digital marketing, loyalty programs and advanced analytics / BI.

His new role has been created as part of Gap's strategy to intensify its customer focus, while meeting the global fashion and retailing needs of the business. Key's initial focus will be on driving a connection between the recently combined eCommerce and Marketing teams.
