Kline and IRI Form Alliance
Retail and healthcare data giant Information Resources Inc. has formed an alliance with MR and management consulting firm Kline & Company, to serve consumer healthcare clients including over-the-counter (OTC) drug companies.
 The partners say the deal will mean more accurate data and a range of thought leadership on key consumer healthcare topics. IRI's point-of-sale market data and Kline's historical database and Rx-to-OTC switch expertise will be key components in the combined deal, which will lead to white papers on topics including innovation, M&A activity and trends and issues in international and emerging markets.
Bob Sanders, EVP and Healthcare Practice Leader at IRI, says the alliance will provide clients with 'an unprecedented level of actionable insights due to Kline's access to a global network of consumer healthcare specialists.' Laura Mahecha, Industry Manager of Kline's Healthcare Practice describes the move as 'a natural evolution towards continuous improvement of service to our clients.'
Kline CEO Joe Tarantola (pictured) says the partners anticipate extending the relationship in the future to clients in the beauty and personal care and home care industries.
