Former Future Thinking Owner Launches Biz Dev Consultancy

In the UK, former Future Thinking co-owner Andrew Tharme has set up a new venture called AJT Bizdev Consulting, to help insights, analytics and research technology agencies grow their businesses.

Andrew TharmeTharme (pictured) began his career as a statistician with Nestle Rowntree, before taking on the role of Corporate Research & Analysis Consultant with The Boots Group, and then moving agency side in senior-level positions at mmr Research Worldwide and Harris Interactive. In 2005, he joined The Oxford Research Agency (TORA) as Director of Business Development, and three years later, he and fellow director Chris Sinclair bought the company. In 2010, the business was renamed Future Thinking, and then rebranded SPA Future Thinking following a merger with full service agency SPA (it has recently reverted to the Future Thinking name).

Through his new firm, Tharme is working with a number of insights, analytics and research technology companies to help them 'sharpen' their market positioning and differentiation, grow their client bases, and increase revenue and profit.

Commenting on the offer, Tharme said: 'In talking with many clients and agencies (particularly SMEs), it became clear that there is fantastic technical talent in the industry that clients don't get to hear about. This is typically because those great technical agency brains haven't the time, knowhow, or personal interest, in pushing themselves forward to clients. This venture is a 'win-win' for the industry, with the end goal being excellence in deliverables by agencies and maximising in-market performance for clients.'
