Funds for Digital Behavior Analyst Jumpshot

In San Francisco, web analytics platform Jumpshot has received $22m in Series A funding from Avast Software. Funds will be used to scale its operations and extend its two core offerings, the Jumpshot Plus web platform and Jumpshot Strategic Analytics.

Jumpshot gathers data from 107 million global users clicking on 150 billion links per month, including https clickstream data, and uses it to track buying and social media behavior as well as basic browsing. By using persistent user IDs it builds a picture of long-term habits before and after visits to particular sites, 'though the firm says data is anonymised to carefully protect privacy.

Jumpshot Plus offers competitor benchmarking and audience segmentation, while Strategic Analytics promises to track growth, performance and conversion rates for any online property, as well as evaluating trends and segments by global region.
