Firefish Expands to South East Asia

London-based consumer agency Firefish has expanded to South East Asia with the opening of a Singapore office. The venture will be led by former ABN Impact Director Angela Cross, while company Board Director Bob Cook becomes Regional MD to help kick-start the business.

Firefish offers both qualitative and quantitative research, and boasts a specialist kids and family division called The Pineapple Lounge, and an in-house insight film specialist called Firefilms. In addition to its London headquarters, the firm has offices in New York and Amsterdam, and will now serve both international and local clients from Singapore.

Cross (pictured) joins with fifteen years' industry experience, most recently as Qualitative Director at ABN Impact's office in Bangkok, where she worked for clients in Thailand, Indonesia, The Philippines, Singapore, India, China and Malaysia. Prior to this, she taught a course in Advertising Research at the Academy of Art University, and ran her own insight agency in San Francisco. Earlier, she was Director of Planning/Research at DOJO, a Senior Brand Strategist at Greenberg Brand Strategy and at RPA, and a Strategic Planner at McCann Erickson. She began her career as a planner at Wieden + Kennedy.

Cook will work alongside Cross to launch the Singapore office, while taking the lead on servicing and developing clients across the wider APAC region.
