New UK MR Recruiter Launches
In the UK, specialist MR staff recruiters Bridget Barry and Stephanie Fairbank have set up a new agency, Pollen Recruitment, which launches today. They are immediately joined by James Handley, formerly of Kantar and Australia's Hudson Global Resources.
 All three worked in the MR industry and the team combines agency and client-side market research, brand & comms and human resources experience. The new company will focus on quant and qual MR, consumer insight and analysis roles including brand and strategic planning.
Barry has worked at CSA Recruitment for the last five years, and was previously at PriceJamieson / Aquent for seven, after a spell at consumer marketing recruitment specialist Ball & Hoolahan. Her first role in the research industry was at TNS, which she joined in 1996, latterly working as an Account Director with a focus on the Unilever account.
Fairbank has worked in senior client and agency side marketing roles for firms including McVitie's, Kraft and Procter & Gamble, and has experience in brand, comms and market research recruitment. Most recently, she worked with Barry at CSA.
Handley combines a market research recruitment and HR background: he was responsible for in-house HR and recruitment across the Kantar brand before joining Hudson, where he managed the largest technical recruitment team in the country.
The new company will focus on helping candidates develop their careers for the long-term, and a 'highly selective, refreshingly straightforward and honest' approach to working with clients.
Barry comments: 'We saw a real gap in the market for highly tailored recruitment. We all have established credentials - candidates come back to us time and again and become clients; most of our clients have worked with us for years. We love what we do, we do it properly and we are very excited about launching our own agency'.
