Investment for Online Customer Feedback Firm

Customer satisfaction scorecard provider IgniteFeedback, founded this year, has raised more than $300k to be used to grow the business in the US. This includes hiring for sales, marketing and product development roles.

Bozeman, MT-based Ignite offers solutions which create a scorecard showing company performance over time compared to that of competitors, and allow basic one-question polls of web site visitors. A separate, simpler version is available for smaller businesses.

The latest round was led by the Montana-based Frontier Fund 2 angel group, whose MD Liz Marchi comments: 'We invested in IgniteFeedback because they have an experienced and passionate team going after a chunk of a $20 billion dollar a year market and we are excited to be working with them!'

The company was founded by Ben Werner and Eddie McDaniel, former employees of software firm RightNow. CEO Werner, who also worked for Microsoft in Seattle, comments: 'Often managers throw around buzzwords like customer experience or customer engagement, yet don't measure how they are doing. We bring them real-time data'.

State-based organisations The Blackstone Launchpad at Montana State University and Startup Bozeman also helped to get Ignite off the ground.
