QanticMind Hires Former Answers.com Data Scientist

In the US, predictive ad management (PAM) software specialist QuanticMind has hired former Answers.com exec Justin Smith as Vice President of Data Science.

Formerly known as InsideVault, QuanticMind offers an SaaS data science and big data solution for paid search, social, display and mobile ad prediction. In September, the company raised $10.3m in a round of funding, which it is now using to expand its engineering, marketing and sales operations.

Smith (pictured) joins after nearly three years as VP of Analytics at Answers.com, responsible for building the data intelligence and data analytics strategy. Prior to this he was Director of Analytics at Announce Media, and Manager of Analytics at Wize Commerce, which owns and operates comparison shopping engines such as NexTag.
